Switch GitLab accounts in one click

Save sessions for gitlab.com and self-hosted GitLab, then swap accounts without juggling browser profiles.

Download the zip, unzip it, then open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, and Load unpacked — select the unzipped folder, not the zip file.

Why GitLab Account Switcher

Multiple GitLab identities on one browser profile — fast, local, and under your control.

Multiple accounts

Keep work, personal, and client GitLab logins side by side and switch whenever you need.

Session cookies

One-click save

On a GitLab tab, add the instance and save the current session with a single click.

  3. Save & switch

Save the session from the popup, add another account the same way, then Switch when you need to change identity.

FAQ

Does GitLab Account Switcher store my password?

No. The extension stores session cookies locally in chrome.storage.local. It does not save your GitLab password.

Does it work with self-hosted GitLab?

Yes. Add your instance URL (for example https://git.example.com), then save and switch sessions for that origin.

How do I install the Chrome extension from a ZIP?

Download the ZIP, unzip it to a folder, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, click Load unpacked, and select the unzipped folder — not the .zip file.

Are my sessions uploaded to your servers?

No. Session cookies stay on your machine in the browser profile. Nothing is uploaded to gitlab-account-switcher.com servers.

What happens when a GitLab session expires?

Open the login page from the extension, sign in again in the tab, then click Update cookie on that account.

Is this an official GitLab product?

No. GitLab Account Switcher is an independent tool and is not affiliated with GitLab Inc.

Switch multiple GitLab accounts in Chrome

GitLab Account Switcher helps you manage multiple GitLab accounts in a single Chrome profile. Instead of separate profiles or constant log out / log in, you save each session and switch with one click.

Whether you use gitlab.com, a company GitLab, or several self-hosted instances, each instance keeps its own account list. Sessions are stored only on your device.

If you need a simple way to switch GitLab sessions for work and personal accounts, GitLab Account Switcher is built for that workflow.
